April 2019: Nieuwe computers en een digibord
In this newsletter follows an update of the past couple of months regarding the activities that Maxim Nyansa and Climbing The Right Tree have been doing.

New Computer Labs in Kokrobite and Sawla Region 
A new computer lab has been installed in the Macina Foundation school in Kokrobite. The new Macina Foundation ICT Computer lab received 20 additional computers and a smartboard in order to further the education of the local school children of Kokrobite. The Macina Foundation School opened its doors last year with as its goal to provide this isolated community with knowledge and accessibility to computers. The ultimate objective here is creating a network for schools in the region, where they can communicate and become independent in order to increase local ownership of the education as well as the organization.

 

September 2019: Het ICT Centre wordt mooier en mooier
Nieuwe vloer en nieuwe tafels en stoelen, buiten een stoep en Calvin heeft een cursus gedaan bij Maxim Nyanza

  

 

 

Oktober 2019: Computerlab Okyere Academy
In de Ashanti Region in het dorp Kumewu staat de Okyere Academy, een particuliere basisschool met ruim 300 leerlingen. De directeur van de school verzocht de Macina Foundation een financiele bijdrage voor meer lokalen en de bouw van een computerlab. In april was het projectplan goed gekeurd en in augustus was de bouw klaar. Twee leraren van de school hebben de training van Maxim Nyanza gevolgd. bij de start van het nieuwe schooljaar in september werd het lokaal officieel geopend en in gebruik genomen.
